The Minnesota Historical Society is interested learning more about how to better support the needs and interests of families whose children have disabilities and special health care needs at their museums and exhibits.
Family Voices of Minnesota and Wilder Research are working together to recruit and support families to visit the Then Now Wow Project at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul and participate in a focus group.
As a way to say “thank you” to family members for attending the group, we will be offering the following incentives:
What we want participants to do
The agenda for this day is:
11:00 am: Arrive at the History Center in St. Paul
11:30am-12:00pm: Introductions and lunch for your family(location TBD)
12:00pm-2:00pm: Families enjoy the family day program
2:00pm-2:30pm: One or both adult family members begin to move to the focus group room. Children may accompany adult family members to the group, or, if there is more than one parent, they can continue to enjoy family day or go with that parent to the childcare room for a break/snacks as needed.
2:30-4:00 pm: Focus group
4:00-4:30pm: Incentives given and families depart
